The new New Zealand Rankings for Malifaux are based on the old Malifaux rankings system (for those who remember) masterminded by Mr Marshall who ran a NZ version for us for about a year. I’ve adjusted a couple of stats to make it more balanced for the small number of small tourneys that we have down here at the edge of the world (just a few cliques from R’yleh).
An event that has 16 or more players will attract the highest score (100) and then all other players will receive 100-(100/number of players) points.
So in a 28 person event #1 will get 100 rankings points, #2 96.43 points, #3 92.86 points all the way down to #28 who will get 3.57 points.
Events that have less that 16 player have the top score deducted 2 points for every player under 16. So an 8 player tournament has a maximum of 84 points and then the other player scores are adjusted down (84-(84/number of players)
An event must have 6 players minimum to be considered a ranking event.
So far we’ll be accepting tourneys and tourney-style leagues as legit ways to get yerself onto the table.
Each players scores are based on their best 3 results from a 12 month rolling window, starting from 1st Jan 2016.
